Salary for Nursery Nurse is up to £28,662 per annum

We offer a variety of opportunities, including: 

• Full time, 40 hours a week 

• Job shares, varying from 2-3 days a week  

• Part time, 20 hours a week

About our Hitchin Nursery  

Located near Hitchin town centre, our nursery cares for over 100 children and features dedicated gardens for each age group, plus an allotment for outdoor learning. 

We offer on-site parking and are a short walk from the train station and local bus routes.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent

• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities

• To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children

• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs

• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
